Global Elephant Care is driving change for the standards of care during the transportation of elephants. Standards of care during transportation should be optimized using appropriate crates, vehicles and investing in comprehensive crate training programmes to minimize stress for the animal/s.
Global Elephant Care was commissioned to oversee the transport of two elderly female Asia elephants from Belfast in Northern Ireland to Burgers Zoo in the Netherlands. Below is a short video about this project.
